"have you ever rode a tandem?"

"no dear, but it might be fun..."

At this point I was obviously speccing the latest and greatest in tandemming for the ultimate n+1. Just when I decided on a titanium, rando barred 650b Bilenky with Campy Athena my musings were interrupted.

"I don't think we'd work on a tandem. Better to have a bike each."

"yeah, we're both way too stubborn to decide who gets to be the captain"
