I'm surprised I've never taken pix of my wife's bike.
I wanted so much to build her a cool "vintage" bike. Something nifty, unique, quality and special for her. I wanted her to enjoy cycling as much as I do, and have her come along with me.
We soon figured out she didn't lust after "vintage" bikes- First thing she wanted was an Electra "Betty." She actually had that as her desktop picture. We went all over southeastern WI looking for one of those- I think we had to drive to Madison to find one. She rode it up and down the street and decided she hated the way she felt on it- although it was the cutest thing evAr. Then we found a flat black Trek 7.1- it had been the previous year's model. We got her a flat black rack and flat black bottle cage and a black handlebar bag. She calls it her "Bat Bike."
She thinks her bike is way cool, but she doesn't ride as often as I'd like her to. Earlier this month I got her some pink spoke lights- She's never out at night, but maybe she'll dig them if we ride the Elroy/Sparta trail and turn on her spoke lights in the tunnels.
Pix will follow.
