for what it's worth I use planet bike superflashes on the rear rack and left drop bar. this is how I mount them. I currently use regular alkaline batteries cuz I don't commute now. but for commuting you can use rechargeable AAAs, keeping 2 chargers 1 at home and 1 at work.
