I ride very often with friends that I know and trust and who display good judgment even when riding in a pack. We coach new riders who join on our signals and etiquette, and correct mistakes. We've had one minor incident that involved a new rider touching a wheel several years ago... some of the group went down, some didn't, but everyone was able to finish the ride. I've fallen more often riding alone.

If I end up in a pack that I find squirrelly, I exercise good judgment and get out of it.
