Kestrel is not a Bikesdirect brand like Dawes or Motobecane.

Kestrel is sold through bikes shops, as well. For that matter, I see Bikesdirect has Schwinn on their list. Schwinn is not a BD brand.

I really have no clue who makes them these days. But they have a $6100 bike on their website...Ultegra Di2 for $4,500.

FWIW...they are owned by ASI (Advanced Sports International) and as has been mentioned they (ASI) also own Fuji.
