The quad lock case does have a piece that fits over the top. I have one of those and I'd say that it's very weatherproof. It pretty much covers up all of the ports with the case covering the back. It's called the "Poncho" and it essentially makes a tupperware container out of the case. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in the rain.
