It actually has 135mm drop... was looking at Velocity Dyad's with XT hubs to replace them.

And the current wheels aren't that bad, just need to be trued after a crash on my tour and cones in the hubs had some pitting; obviously Dyads would be much stronger and obviously and upgrade.
You're also right about just getting another bike; it's so hard since a tourer can be my commuter as well since my work is only a mile away. So justifying another bike has been tough for me.
