Glad you didn't order the cheaper SL - I think the SL lacks some of the features that makes the normal one so nice, but supposedly they have the same LED so not sure if one is any less bright.
I like my Hotshot, too, but I would not use it if someone were riding behind me. It would be too bright. That's how bright it is!
