I am 5ft 6in (167.6cm) and ride a 52cm effective top tube frame. The Competitive Cyclist website calcs say I should ride a 53-54cm effective top tube, but I am disproportionately long in the legs (81.8cm inseam) a frame one size smaller fits me well. I then installed a 110mm stem to accommodate my arms.
