There is an abundance of bicycling forums in Singapore, from niche to general, youth to retired, commercial and independent. I don't spend enough time in the hot and sweaty island to make investigating worthwhile. But perhaps others have done so. What I mean is not discussions within forums but reviews from outside, for example (ficticious)...
forum 1: Large readership, friendly
forum 2: sports riders, mostly in 20s and 30s it would appear
forum 3: small but enthusiastic readership, moderated well
forum 4: sarcastic but best threads on MBXs, forum activity comes and goes
forum 5: sponsored by major dealers, organizes rides to reservoir
I was reading a strida singapore forum once but it was a pretty dead forum. And when there was a posting about how awesome the government was letting folding bikes on to transit I questioned how useful was that because the hours they let you on is basically useless for working people (after 10am and before 4pm and then after 8pm). Well funny thing was the very next day my work IP was banned for life lol. It was easy to get back on there to see going through my home network or different proxies but that forum is pretty dead and not worth my while if you can't have an open discussion like we do here. For me Bikeforums is the ONLY biking forums I check because it has such diverse categories and we have members around the WORLD talking about bikes. I do learn alot of and see things from different perspectives here.
