You've received some good advice. What struck me most about your post was a brief mention of getting married in 4 months. My wife has been my best friend and biggest backer for 25 years (I'm your fathers age). She has encouraged me to do things I might not have were I alone. We always discussed risks and benefits of decisions, but knew that we'd be supported by each other once decisions were made. Whatever you decide to do, don't forget to discuss your plans with your fiancee. She was engaged to a young man making good money in a professional setting, now she might marry a spin instructor. I'm not judging either profession, just saying that you need to be honest with her about your plans and be sure that she is supportive.
