Try olive oil straight out of the bottle, followed by any dish soap.

I don't know if other oils work as well, but I learned about olive oil from an Italian auto mechanic (figures) and never bothered with anything else.

BTW- I learned this almost 50 years ago, before olive oil was trendy and at that time is sold for less than half the price of other cooking oils.
