He's not a jerk, when you have been around here awhile you sometimes get tired of seeing the same posts and inject a little sarcasm/humor/snark , you get used to it. Just assume that the other person, no matter what the response sounds like, is typing with a smile on their face. Also I try and remember that we all here love cycling and if we stumbled upon each other at work or a party, would have a great time sharing our enthusiasm of this great activity. It lessons the venom.
+1. There will always be someone who will honestly answer the question though. I am ok with new people posting the same Q over and over since I was there at a point in time but now it is just fun hanging out here. Barely come for cycling advise anymore but rather personal advise. Weird I know... these guys have become some kind of weird family that I've never met

Nah, great person. Rode with him today and it was a great friendly and conversational ride. Good to put a face to a username and a personality as well. Very kind and hospitable. We all have our little sarcastic and nonchalant attitudes once we get comfy in our environment but, com'on, we need to give this place a twist every now and then.
I'll just say this, roadies are made fun of by every other single subforum in BF... We know it's all envy
