Federico, I just did a quick Wikipedia peek of Xalapa, it looks gorgeous. If you are subjected to rain in the cycling season I'd use a sticky chainlube then wipe off the excess with a kerosene soaked, and wrung out, terry cloth rag. Just wipe off dirt and grit once a week and add lube if links look rusty after a rain. I'm impressed with how well the heavier oils work for rainy areas. A few days ago I road through a heavy rain and a flooded area where the chain was underwater. In the morning there was rust between the pins but this morning after a short ride the oil was still in the pins, off course I'll oil it later. I wouldn't bother with chain cleaning 50chains for free bike use, just keep them lubed and wipe clean.
