I did buy some riding pants, a wind breaker and gloves last fall and I never thought I'd use them as much as I have. I'm usually good to go on nice days with some sun and minimal wind when the temperature is in the upper 40s. But there have been days and days of rain and/or winds blowing in the 20mph range - which is discouraging. The other day I was riding one of my favorite routes and there's a slightly downhill section that I routinely hit 21 mph with minimal effort. On that particular day I was pedaling as hard as I could into a stiff wind and could go no faster than 11 mph. Brutal
Looking forward to some better weather at some point.
