I've been riding more and more regularly the last few weeks as the temps warm up here in the NE. The mornings still can be pretty chilly, though, and we've been getting an amazing amount of wind for this area. Today, I rode 25 mi around my town, doing 5 mi loops.
In the early morning, I was in NYC helping out at the TD 5-Boro Tour. I worked in the VIP Hospitality section. It may actually have been worth the extra dough those folks paid. They got a private entrance to the start, had a special breakfast including pretty decent oatmeal, and got a little mechanical assist if they needed it. I loved watching all the different kinds of folks and bikes riding together. They rode about 5 or 6 abreast and the line stretched for miles!
I couldn't get in this year but they promised me priority registration next year for being a volunteer.
