Help with new crankset Trek Bodega

Hello BikeForum,

I just made this account up now, in order to get help from some of you guys :-)

I own a Trek Bodega with 21 gears, but as it is at the moment, the bike is impossible to drive - So i thought it might be the chain, but after replacing that, no changes appeared and after looking well enough, i realise its the crankset that is worn out :-(.
But i know nothing about bikes really, only how to replace the parts - but not which parts to buy..

I counted the cranks and came to the conclusion it is 48-38-28 and the chainring holes should be 11,5 cm from nearest to nearest. Furthermore i know the left pedalarm is 18 cm. The biggest crank appears to be 19,5 cm in diameter.
I know little to nothing regarding this subject. But a quick search on the internet makes my last numbers seem very wrong(11,5cm, 18cm & 19,5cm). However is it possible to get a link to a crankset i will be able to install? :-)

Regards Tom N.
