SA's 3W requires higher speed than SON/SRAM/SP/Shimano. SON/SRAM/SP/Shimano can develop over 6W and there are LED lights on the market today that specifically exclude SA from the list of hubs that will drive them. SuperNova triple is a good example.

I have two SA drum/dyno hubs, probably their best product, but if they want to make an improvement they could. It seems as if anyone that rides it ends up with issues on the five speed hub.
