I brought it to the shop during lunch. Adjustable spanner and bent it back. They bike guys were shocked at how malleable the rim lips were. I have a tiny warp that you can hear when the rear brake is fully depressed, but such is life!
Cost £12.95 for another tube, replacement and bending.
23-622 tire/tube holds 110psi fine!
On with the commuting!
edit: Speed was somewhere between 30 and 35kmh (20 or so mph). damn British roads.
Good to hear its fixed & glad you're OK!!!
ALU is very malleable, so not surprised. Just be careful, because bending it with a tool can fatigue that area & deform the profile!!
