the newest bike I've had in my stable is 1990, and I sold that to another forum member.
the majority of my bikes are mid 70's to mid 80's, that's my get serious about bikes era.
That said, I have no issue with modern CF bikes, 11 speeds, clipless pedals etc. one of my bikes
is an 1984 model with campagnolo 10 speed.
My one real curmudgeon/retrogrouch holdout is tires, I ride tubulars exclusively. Were I to buy
a MTB (and I am contemplating one, ableit ca 1985) I'd probably ride clinchers, or maybe Tubular
Cross tires....
