i have a problem and i don't quite know what it is before i go to my LBS i was wondering if any of you could be of assistance.

It started today, i just installed my chainguide and new crank the other day and i rode it for like 10 minutes after i finished the install and it worked fine. Then today i was out riding and i'd been riding probably 5 minutes and my chain started trying to shift to a lower gear every pedal stroke it would "hop" up on my cassettebut never actually shift so it would go up a bit then drop back to the ring it was on., and i was unable to gain acceleration due to it hopping so much it feels as if it's like shifting under load, thats what it feels like. In the end it ended up breaking my chain so i bought a new chain an hour agoe installed it and rode it and now it continues to just hop and hop and hop and hop. I can't accelerate cause its such a god awful noise of the chain "popping" and soudning like a shift under load. I put some "Kano Kroil" on it, to try to loosen up the chain, it does it less but still does it just as bad. Any help would be much appreciated if that makes sense i described it the best i could or should i just leave it to my LBS
