I can imagine some of the answers- I like to, I want to use some components I already have, I know exactly what I want and can order on-line at a discount. But I'm wondering what the actual reasons are.
I also wonder the same thing re: building wheels.
I picked up the NeilPryde on clearance, as a frame only. As it was electric compatible, I figured I would go that route. I can run wires.
Wheels, my best luck have been with factory built, other than the November Rails, which are excellent. I had to re-do my other sets of hand built wheels, so I figure I may as well do my own.
