I got buzzed by a car again today. It always happens in the same place; a particularly twisty, narrow, uphill stretch, about a half mile long. I've tried taking the lane, but the traffic volume has increased to the point that this not practical. I get passed anyway, even with oncoming traffic. This close call was the closest one yet, with probably only a few inches between my left handlebar and their mirror. There are no other routes I can safely take that avoid this particular stretch. There is room on the opposite side of the road to walk the bike on the grass shoulder. So I guess I'll try that next. I hate it, because it feels like giving up. But I don't want to get run over.
You said narrow, I'm guessing that's a 2-lane road with no shoulder? I have to ride on LOTS of those on my commute.
