If you're going to make your own crab cakes the recipe on the back of an Old Bay seasoning can is very good and will make an authentic MD crab cake. Pro tip: add 1 tbs Worcester sauce and fry in peanut oil or bacon grease. Screw cooking lite, this is an occasional treat. However, crab meat (good crab meat) is expensive. This place will deliver them to your door packed in dry ice for not that much more. They are the real deal. I've used them for myself and as presents to others. They always get rave reviews. The steamed crabs are outstanding as well. I also join the VIP club every year. It pays for itself with 2 orders.
