Spent time examining the wheels motion and listening in order to determine where/why the sound. Just built up crud in wheel hitting where fender attached.
Now to deal with the brake problem. In developing countries like Indonesia and Vietnam (not Malaysia and Singapore) it's a lot more efficient just to take one's bike to a mechanic. The cost is so low. But I am actually enjoying this education through periodic challenges. After computer technical problems that devastate me by their esoteric nature, this is a machine I can handle the complexity of. With some help.
Some Vietnamese guys (an older man and a guy much younger than myself) enjoyed offering their tips. This bike is a real eye catcher. Funny thing is females see the man riding the bike after a quick glance but males fixate their eyes on it. Seems to fascinate them. Especially young boys and very old men, though an girl toddler followed me around entranced by the folder. It's a charmer.
