Remove the freehub from the hub body, remove the rubber seal ring from it's rear face and squirt in several drops of Tri-Flow or similar oil. Replace the seal and spin the body a few turns. The noise should be gone. There is no reason to disassemble a freehub body unless you love dealing with dozens of minuscule parts.
7000 miles is nearly new for Shimano Freehubs. My friends and I have gotten over 30,000 miles on several Ultegra and Dura Ace bodies and they still work well and are quiet. They get the above treatment about once a year.
