It was a different experience. This was a smaller field and felt like a beginners race (which the SoCal races with 40-75 guys do not) and it was much more relaxed. Portland has an awesome racing format with the Monday and Tuesday Night Series. PIR is such a fun place to race, and I can see people upgrading quickly. Most other places, people tolerate the course to race. Not so here.
