This is my first post to this group, so pardon any errors in how it is done. I have dug through the post postings on the Concorde PDM frames / bikes and want to add one more to the mix with a question to go with it. I have one being delivered to me next week that I found in of all places, Puerto Rico. The seller claims to have been the original owner, but there are some language issues. It appears to be a 1991 PDM SLX but the fittings make me suspect that it may be an ex-pro bike of some sort. I know there is basically no chance of it being a 'real' PDM but it does have me thinking. It is fitted with what appears to be a C Record head set, Chorus brakes and Simplex retrofriction shifters. The DRs and crank are missing, along with the wheels, saddle and bar, but the stem is top notch Cinelli.
The other oddity is the 6 Voler logos attached. Front and back of the seat tube, and both sides of the down tube and top tube. I contacted Voler and they apparently never sponsored a team or rider that they remember, so that is a dead end. Anybody remember an ex-pro maybe flogging Voler gear at trade shows and the like? Once I get it in hand I will pull the serial number.
thanks
Doug
