He doesn't literally mean "no more than 5 miles from work", he really means closer to work. I'm most certain that the style of bicycle doesn't matter in the least to him. He's just toying with you...
Both Groningen and CPH, are urban-centric cities. They therefore, have less need to depend so much upon automobiles. IMHO, they both serve as excellent models from which we can take good guidance and instruction. I believe that we as Americans can take that model in concept, and further develop it, to an even greater, and much improved state. Acidfast7, has emphasized this fact throughout this entire thread. He hasn't deceive anyone about that!
Acidfast7, is well aware of the fact that much of Europe is years beyond us in terms of infrastructure, education, transportation, and energy conservation. He knows that traditional auto commuting that we're so accustomed to, is a backwards and antiquated way of life. It's energetically wasteful, environmentally detrimental, and economically stupid. Most Europeans are aware of global warming and the potential threat it represents to our human population. Although Acidfast7 is known to go to the extreme sometimes, in terms of insults and aggravation, he's also quite capable of making some profoundly accurate statements (unless he's making some weak attempt at entertainment, that is

).
Though he's made some absolutely ridiculous statements within this thread, he's also made some very informative ones, as well. I've thoroughly enjoyed some of his comments, as I have yours.
I say, thumbs up for the Joker!
