Bikes: 2012 Roubaix Pro, 2011 Roubaix Expert, 2006 Tarmac S-Works

Just so I can keep up with the conversation - is a standard STI (road bike) brake a long pull, and flat bar style short pull?
ie. Caliper's = long - V-brakes = short (?)
Confused minds want to know.
