Don't beat yourself. This is possibly the most frequently asked new bike question. So while you may not be in good company, you're certainly not alone. I, for one, would love to have a sticky called NEW BIKE FAQ, limited to the few most repeated new bike questions and answers. This would be number 1.

Enjoy the bike, and don't forget to revisit the dealer in a few weeks to have it checked for minor adjustments or things that might have been missed when it was assembled.
