There's a big difference between quitting the Pro Tour, or a particular race on it, and quitting bicycling, or even racing.

The intensity of the Pro Tour means it's super tough for older riders, and it's normal to age out of that level of competition. That he might be quitting at the young age of 42 in no way diminishes my respect for Jens.
