I agree with you on my longer rides my dietary guidelines go out the window and I eat anything and everything I can with little guilt because it will be burned off so quickly. I also find I start with more nutrient and calorie dense foods but then find myself going to more highly refined easily digestible foods as fatigue and loss of appetite start setting in.My distances last year got up to 140 miles daily but this was touring type milages taking all day with plenty of stops and by the end I was usually dragging badly with little or no appetite(except for maybe some water and possibly gatoraid )and feeling very overtrained.Maybe I will have to give chips a try lol .
