Well, I'm anti-label. And yes, there are certainly some there just happy to hang on. But knowing virtually everyone who races here, I can say there have been plenty of people in the cat 4 fields who were strong enough to make breaks, possibly make them stick, string out the field, make the stronger sprinters actually work. Instead, they sat in... and sure, they were fresh at the end... and still got stomped on the final laps. So what's the point of "doing no work?" F'n race. Track is so much more fun than crits... why turn it into one? I'm not saying do the suicide flame out. But when I see 24 guys jockey at the blue line for the majority of a cat 4 scratch race, it's baffling.
