You think that is confusing take a look at the Giant TCR line.
TCR
TCR SLR
TCR Advanced
TCR Composite
TCR Advanced SL

And each line of TCR has a couple or 3 choices to choose from except for the TCR 2 TCR 2 (2014) | Giant Bicycles | United States

So choosing a FX is a piece of cake.
