I only have the vintage part (neither steel nor rigid). I bought my Cannondale M500 brand new in 1995 and it has been my favorite bike ever since. I lost the rigid front fork during my last move
but still have the vintage Amp F3XC fork on it. It is my road/rails to trails bike, outfitted with XT V's and slicks. It has a lot of trail miles on it from when I bought it thru the early 2000's. From the mid 2000's to present it's seen mainly rails to trails. Still can't believe some of the steep downhills I did with this fork.
My other vintage bike is a 1996 Scott Vertigo LSD. Something crazy about this bike with patent infringement in the US because this bike was mainly available in Europe. Anyway, cool bike, and I've been riding it on the trails instead of my 29er this year. It's lighter and has full suspension so no contest. I put speed springs in the Judy XC and a Fox air shock on the rear when the original crapped out.
