I've got a Crosstrail Sport Disc and find it is the best bike I've ever owned. I've had numerous road bikes over the years - I'm 62 - along with several MTB's and even tried out a dedicated "comfort bike" - which was the biggest bike buying mistake I've made. The Crosstrails are, in my opinion, a true example of a multi use bike. My wife and I ride a mix of road and bike trails, the trails themselves are a mix of crushed gravel, dirt, hard pan along with some paved sections. I have some arthritis in my hands and opted for the Crosstrail because I wanted the front suspension fork. My former MTB didn't have this and my hands would ache a lot after rides. I also appreciate the 700c wheels over the 26 inchers on my MTB's. And after experiencing discs, I'd never go back to rim brakes, so, to make a long story short, yes, I can easily recommend a Crosstrail to you, buy one and enjoy the ride...!!
