I picked this up on the bay a few weeks ago. I spent about 3 months looking for something locally (I live in Sydney) with no luck. All I was after was an original 70's or 80's Italian road bike. I didn't think it would be too hard a task but it proved impossible to find anything at a remotely reasonable price. So I got this beauty shipped over from Italy:

It arrived with a broken rear spoke and both wheels needed truing. Other than that and a couple of new tubulars it was good to to. It weighs exactly 10kg or 22lbs.
I'm pretty sure the paint is original. Most of the components would be as well I'm guessing. Perhaps not the Campy Valentino derailers though. This would have been a fairly high end bike and I think the Valentino was a fairly low end product. Any opinions on that? I know they have a bad reputation but they seem to work well though.
What I would really like to know is:
- Does anyone have any idea of the tubing used in this bike? I'm assuming Columbus but there's no sticker to indicate what type.
- I've got a Brooks tool bag behind the saddle at the moment and I'm looking for options for a nice handlebar bag for when I commute to work. I'm really after a period or vintage looking bag to match the rest of the bike. It would only need be big enough for a clean shirt and some lunch. Any Ideas?
