I like it. I can see from a practical standpoint exchanging the crank set for one with a smaller inner ring would be reasonable.
I kind of liked the original build as it was period and practical for cost to benefit/preference.
If the parts selection of the final was original the owner would have been rather well off.

I guess part of the charm of 60's enthusiast bikes bikes from the UK is that there was much care of where to spend and where to save.
Keen selection was the order of the day.
