They are soooo close but they don't have it right yet.
1. You need to be able to program in the cog and chainring sizes so it knows what the gear inches of each front and rear combo is.
2. Hitting up or down takes you up or down to the next ratio up or down by shifting the appropriate shifter(s)
3. You need to select chainring and cog combinations that provide meaningful, even steps between speeds that maximizes the number of speeds available. With a 2x10 setup like in the video I expect to see 18 unique speeds. I see 13. Fail.
The comment above about half step gearing for this application is right on.
