Bikes: Nashbar Road

Rounding a turn under a bridge, I was surprised by a small doe trotting towards me, on the right side of the path (to my left). There wasn't really any place for her to go to the sides, bridge bank on one side and creek on the other, so I just slowed down and tried not to startle her. If you don't turn your face to look at them, they think there's a chance you haven't seen them yet She acted a little skittish but decided to hold her line of travel until I got past, then bolted away.

I was struck by how similar it was to dealing with unpredictable pedestrians, and how the deer acted pretty much like they sometimes do.
