Concorde blue 1988 question
Hello All,
I am new to the bike forums and i'm certain that some of the answers I'm looking for can be found here.
I was in Holland on and off during the 80's and ended up buying a bike from Sprey's ( Daan ) shop in Aalsmeer, believe it was 1988.
After speaking to the manager ( Jan den H ) at the hotel where I was staying about bikes, tour de france etc, he took me to Sprey. Got measured, choose the frame, seat, crankset wheels and brakes and Daan selected the handle bar, seat post and all else. The next day we went back and picked up the bike. Nice blue Concorde, not top line but that was my budget.
I still own the bike and have ridden it maybe 3 or four times in all these years. As luck would have it, when we got back to the hotel there was this guy sitting, more like chilling out in the lobby. It was none other than Pedro Delgado, staying at the same hotel. I could not resist so promptly but politely asked him what he thought, his English was not that good but he was cool and we took some pictures. I will post those when I get them scanned.
My question for today is what is the little lead seal with a wire through it on the left dropout for?
Douglas
