Didn't see this, when you put your patched tube or new tube and tire back together after fixing the problem, line up the valve with the tire label so that you can more easily find the problem if this happens out on the road.
I've been doing this for years and it has never helped in the least. I still inspect the entire tire and can always find the glass or wire that way. I believe though that it is in "The Rules" so I continue to do it.
