Nope, that's not what I'm trying to do. I need to run 8 of 9 Campy 9-speed cogs with a Shimano derailleur shifted by a Suntour XCpro thumbie. I know, I am a disturbed individual. Well the Suntour thumbie is already working with the Ultrgra derailleur and 8-speed Shimano cassette, so we can call that whole setup "Shimano". What I need to do now is mate a Campy 9-speed hub to this. So, as I described above, I'm assuming what I need to do is simulate Shimano 8-speed spacing on 8 of 9 Campy 9-speed cogs. By consultIng Sheldon brown, I see that I'd need 3.05mm spacers to do this. Wheels mfg doesn't list the thickness of your spacers, but again consulting Sheldon, they must be 3.2mm, which is too big and they're also $60! Yikes. 3.1mm spacers are used in Shimano 8-speed cassettes, maybe that's close enough, and I should be able to find those in a used parts bin somewhere. Just trying to verify my thinking, which again, is probably disturbed.
