I agree that it's thoughtfully put together, except for the brakes. I'd convert it back to center pulls to eliminate that cable crossover at the seat lug. It will not affect braking, but it doesn't look good.

I'd sell the side pulls to help finance some Paul center pulls. That beautiful bike deserves them.
