I get really annoyed when my brakes make a lot of noise, too. (BTW, though I'm not terribly fond of them, I have ridden my share of horses, and the creak I'm hearing with the Brooks saddle is definitely a leather-meets-hardware kind of noise; I'm positive it's not the seat post or rails.)
