What seems to be the case here, looking at locales of listers (many photos have same background as well) is that there's 3 -5 serious flippers, a co-op, and a recycled bike store. Then I think the individual sellers see those prices and think they can do the same without any elbow grease, new tires , etc. Then that thins the pool of what the flippers have available and it keeps snowballing. Garage sale treasures and CL bargains are getting harder and harder to find. Miyata 912's and ilk in lesser condition are going for 3 to 4 times what I found mine for a few yrs or so ago.
