You can find vintage bikes made 15-20 ago with high quality frames and finishes for around the same price you can get a new big box store bike today. What is the better value for the money? In my opinion, its no contest.
Yeah, if you can find one in good condition. I got a sweet mint condition lugged chromoly specialized a few weeks ago. Its kinda fun to ride in club training rides with those $6000 Trek Madones. Man, the fit and finish on those old bikes is incredible.
