Sending the saddle back, returning the money, or at the very least contacting the ebay seller now and telling him what has happened ... are the ethically sound, moral thing to do.

At the very least, you should get on the computer now and send an email to the ebay seller that says something along the lines of this:
Dear Sir,

You sold me a saddle on this date. Unfortunately it got tied up in the mail for an extended period of time. When I contacted you about it, you refunded my money. I then purchased another saddle. Now the saddle has arrived in the mail. Would you prefer to me to return the saddle or return the money to you?

Thank you very much for all your help.

Robert P.

If you cannot see that this is the ethically moral thing to do ... I wonder about the rest of your work/school/life ethics.

Or perhaps you're only feeding us small fragments of the story? There does seem to be information missing. Maybe all of this was indeed just an attempt to troll.
