I used the term "boutique" builder referring mostly to Columbine and any other builder that would put as much "filligree" on their bikes as they do. As everyone can see, most of the other bikes shown in this thread, although they are built with the highest quality and engineering and have beautiful details themselves, they do not come close to what the Columbine bikes have on their catalogue pictures,... I mean, how often does anyone ever see all those dimensional, chromed plants, tendrils, curlycues and flowers on bikes?
